Dog Adopts Orphaned Fox Cub- Interspecies Love

A fox cub was rescued after being found beneath the body of his dead mother has got a new surrogate parent - a three year old mongrel dog. Lucky fox!

The twelve week old Tod was named after the cub who befriends a puppy in the Disney film "The Fox and the Hound". This movie is so cute! I'm so happy to see this healing transformation regarding foxes and the old abusive paradigm of fox hunting. Who could ever enjoy harming a sweet animal such as a fox?

Hercules: The World's Biggest Dog Ever According to Guinness World Records

Hercules was recently awarded the honorable distinction of Worlds Biggest Dog by Guinness World Records. Hercules is an English Mastiff and has a 38 inch neck and weighs 282 pounds.

With "paws the size of softballs" (reports the Boston Herald), the three-year-old monster is far larger and heavier than his breed's standard 200lb. limit. Hercules owner Mr. Flynn says that Hercules weight is natural and not induced by a bizarre diet: "I fed him normal food and he just grew"... and grew. and grew. and grew.

Loving Dog-owners 'Lead Healthier Lives'

I feel that ever since I rescued Fritzl, my miniature dachshund, that my health has been excellent on many levels- physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

I have thought for years that people who have animal companions are healthier than people who live their lives without them.

What leads me to say that is animals always give the purest and sweetest unconditional love. Being loved and feeling love is a healing in itself.

The Most Depressing Day of the Year

It's almost time for "the most depressing day of the year" -- January 20th.

What I like to do the best to to lift my spirits is go for a massage. It seems that getting all the tension ironed out of my muscles puts me in a totally neutral space. I float for hours and nothing seems to bother me at all.

Treat yourself to soothing and nurturing touch and get a massage.
