KNUT! Berlin, Germany's Interspecies Love

I'm still in Europe and made time to let you know about my newest Interspecies Love interest.

Why this took so long to enter my experience is beyond me.

While I was visiting a dear friend, Horst, in Berlin, he told me about Germany's most loved national hero. A baby polar bear (Eisbär) was born and abandoned by its mother. The Berlin Zoo, despite contrary recommendations, kept the bear alive.

Well, we all know how much the Berliners love their bears!
