Happy Father's Day- The living Years
I was always felt the happiest when I was with my dad. He was courageous, strong, confident, a hard worker, a great provider, the world's master plasterer, and premier wine maker. His homemade sausage won prizes for excellence.
Yep. That was my dad. Can you tell how much I still love him?
And what great challenges we gifted each other. We traveled and survived through the 60's and 70's together. He encouraged my deepest healing.
And made me search for more.
I often thought I was insignificant to my father.
Sometimes I felt he didn't even notice me.
After his death, I asked my mother if my dad was ever proud of me. She said, "Oh God YES! Dad would always tell me how much he loved you."
Up until the day he died, I didn't always feel that.
And I bet my dad didn't always feel my love for him too.
So if you are more fortunate than I am and your father is still alive, please remember to tell him how much you love him before it's too late. I wish I would have told my father that I loved him more...
